Iowa Permit to Carry Weapons Renewals
You DO need some kind of training to renew your current permit to the new five year permit after Jan. 1st. The law is quite clear on this to renew a carry permit (after Jan. 1st) you need to have some kind of training or qualification on a firing range. Our company is offering these training sessions now so that you can obtain a new permit or renew. You can obtain training from any ILEA or NRA certified firearms instructor. I encourage you to check with your sheriff but also do some checking for yourself. 2 10 inch subs in a box

antique coal burning stove
Very rare Talisman coal burning cook stove from early 1900's. The grand niece of the original owner had this stove fully reconditioned in the late 1990's for $4000.00. We purchased it 6 years ago from her and have loved to have it in our home since. Our 4 year old and 1 year old love to use it as their play stove, and I've decided that it may be a bit too expensive of a toy stove. So to some lucky person it may brighten up your home! The stove has not been used for heating since it was reconditioned although it is in full working order. All the tiles are original with out any cracks or chipping. Each is individually bolted on. All the exposed metal is nickel plated except the cook top which is one piece of cast iron with a 4 ring burner over the coal pot. There are two ash drawers underneath the stove. It has been difficult to research this stoves origin, but apparently there were only a few imported mostly as antiques in the 1960's in and around New York City. But it seems they were built just on the border of France and Belguim in and around 1900. $1500
wood burning cook stove
A Enterprise-Fawcett built wood or coal burning stove built in 1997 and cost $5500 new. We have used it for 2 seasons as a secondary stove burning wood. It works great, but we are going to get a different stove with a bigger firebox. Fawcett made this stove identically to their stoves since the 1800's, it is the company used in museum displays today. It has an ash pan below the fire box for easy removal. There are many adjustments for perfect heat control, although it is not hard to use. The oven bakes very well and easily. We've made many many different foods in it and all have turned out well. There are 2 small chips in the enamel where the handles attach to the front. One a .25 of an inch by .25, the other about the size of a dime. I did not paint over them as I did not want to have some one find them later and realize it wasn't enamel. But a small amount of paint and you would never notice. The tray beneath the oven works well as a warmer. The right side has a 6.75 gallon copper water reservoir and a shelf beneath. There is a towel drying hook on the left side. It comes with a tool for lifting the two lids on the fire box, another crank for emptying the ashes and a scraper for pulling ashes out.
