This area, centered around the junction of Dugout Creek and the Little Sioux River, is a great place to explore nature and observe wildlife. There are no established trails; you need to "bushwhack" your own through the hilly terrain. It's located one mile South of Hwy. 9 on 170th Ave. (M-38).
