Lake Affect. What is Lake Affect? Lake Affect is a feeling. It is an idea of trying to do something extraordinary and being fortunate enough to live in an area where anything is possible. In 2006, I started an annual music event, originated on the idea to bring people together and to celebrate music and the spirit of this tiny resort town in Northwest Iowa. I am humbled that it has grown to be one of the region's most anticipated events of the year. Damon Dotson
