Two-Day Workshop Friday, November 8 | 1 - 5 pm Saturday, November 9 | 9 am - 4 pm Level: Adults 18+, No quilting experience requred, for ALL skill levels. Deadline to Register: October 26th Instructor: Karla Randall Join Karla Randall, a Laura Heine Certified Instructor, for a fun-filled workshop. Learn collage methods developed by Laura Heine of Fiberworks, Billings, MT, and build your very own colorful collage art quilt and let your creativity run wild. Many elements of color choices, fabric selection, creative backgrounds, construction methods and finishing will be discussed. A Laura Heine collage fabric kit and pattern is required to take this workshop. Kits and patterns will be on display in the Art Center. Upon registering, you may choose your project if wish to and it will be reserved for you. Some of the designs that will be available are the Mini Pincushion, Featherweight Sewing Machine, Mini Havana Seahorse, Cloth Sloth, Poki the Giraffe, Making Fish You do not need a sewing machine to take this class. Irons and ironing boards will be available for your use. There will be a cutting board available but if you have a small cutting mat that you can set beside you, it would be helpful. The fee of $200 for this workshop covers Instructor time, Laura Heine kit and pattern and lunch on Saturday. Class time is 1:00 to 5:00 on Friday, November 8th and 9:00 to 4:00 on Saturday, November 9th. Other supplies needs will be available for purchase at the workshop. You may bring your own if you already have them. -Steam a Seam 2 (No substitutions) 12 or 24 inch wide. -Karen K Buckley medium blue handles serrated scissors -A large applique pressing sheet (Laura Heine’s favorite is a Goddess pressing in sheet) -Pattern ease, 1 yard Other items: -3 x 12 ruler or similar size -Rotary cutter and scissors that can get sticky. -a small personal cutting mat if desired -Press and cut mat (There will be a couple of these available for use at the workshop. General Information: Workshop size is limited to space available, first come first serve. You can reserve your spot in person, online or by phone. A reservation will only be accepted when accompanied by a $75 registration fee. We will create a waitlist in case of an opening due to a cancellation. Class registration fee is final and non-refundable. If the class is canceled, a full refund will be given.
