et your friends and family together because Mau Marine's annual Sunset Cruise is perhaps the most exciting and enjoyable boating evening of the season. Beginning at the sound of the conch, a lead Sunset Cruise boat heads a boat parade around the shores of West Lake Okoboji. The event is DJ'd by a local radio station who rides aboard the lead boat, and gives a play-by-play while taking requests for your favorite boating tunes. Participants may decorate their boats if they wish and fabulous cash and prizes are awarded at the end of the evening. As the sun drops below the horizon, the parade route leads boaters to Smith Bay where the greatest fireworks display fills the sky above the waters of Okoboji.
