Filmmaking students from the Conservatory for the Performing Arts at Stephens College (Columbia, Missouri) will present several short films at the Pearson Lakes Art Center on Tuesday, April 8, at 7:30 p.m. One of the films, Sleep Between the Stars, is being shot "on location" of the Okoboji Summer Theatre campus, including night shoots, April 5-7. The screening will be followed by a Q&A to learn more from the Conservatory cast, crew and faculty about the filmmaking process. The event is free and open to the public. Film director Chase Thompson, Associate Professor of Filmmaking and Program Chair at Stephens College states, “Our short film, Sleep Between the Stars, is a student project where we wrote a script that is specific to a location. We think the Okoboji Summer Theatre location will make a great setting for our alien movie.”
