Firkins will feature paintings from three bodies of work: The Saddest Happy Ending: The Passion through the Eyes of Peter; Civilization and its Discontents; and Constellations. The paintings, selected by the artist from about 250 works of art in total, have all been completed within 2017–2018 — allowing a glimpse into the highly expressive portfolio of work found in Firkin’s Wisconsin-based studio.
