Marker and ink works on paper. "Contemporary Drawing" best describes Mueske's current body of work, employing a variety of techniques in mark making (markers on poles, drawing behind his back, drawing with both hands at the same time)-exhibiting an extensive vocabulary of marker language resulting in poetic, rhythmic markmaking on paper. Mueske's work has been exhibited at such places as the Orange County Museum of Art; the San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art; the Center on Contemporary Art, Seattle. His work was the subject of solo exhibitions at Carl Berg Projects, Los Angeles, in 2010, and the Haines Gallery, San Francisco, in 2008. Mueske, originally from Spirit Lake, will be exhibiting his work in the Goodenow Gallery of the Pearson Lakes Art Center. Mueske now lives and work in Los Angeles.
